ILLINOIS — A Greene County man died Saturday afternoon following a lawn mower accident on private property in rural White Hall, officials confirmed.
Greene County Coroner Brady Milnes identified the victim as Colby L. Brooks, 53, of rural White Hall. Brooks was pronounced dead at 1:40 p.m. Preliminary findings show he died from traumatic asphyxiation after being ejected from the lawn mower he was operating.
The Greene County Coroner’s Office and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
