Police investigating string of burglaries in Ohio

OHIO — Police in Engelwood and Clayton are investigating a string of daytime burglaries targeting homes across the county.

Clayton Police reported multiple incidents over the past few weeks, including:

  • 4600 block of Seville Drive around 10:45 a.m. on August 15
  • 3800 block of Old Salem Road around 10:30 a.m. on August 13
  • 0-100 block of Ashbrook Road on August 5
  • 0-100 block of E. Westbrook Road between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on July 28

According to authorities, the suspect typically knocks on the front door and, when no one answers, breaks into the home to steal valuables.

Englewood Police reported a burglary on the 7000 block of Monte Carlo Drive on Friday morning. The suspect entered through an unlocked front door while the resident was walking their dog, stealing a television and jewelry.

Englewood police released a photo of a person and a vehicle of interest. The vehicle is described as a black or dark gray older-model Chevrolet, and the driver is a Black male with a beard.
