KENTUCKY — A Bronston man was arrested Tuesday after Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives said they found methamphetamine and Suboxone during a traffic stop.

According to the sheriff’s office, detectives were conducting surveillance in Bronston when they observed 56-year-old Calvin Carrender driving erratically westbound on Highway 790.

A traffic stop was initiated, and K-9 Leo alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

A search revealed a box containing approximately 50 grams of methamphetamine, five Suboxone pills, and $492 in cash.

Following the stop, deputies obtained a search warrant for Carrender’s home. When they arrived, residents had already fled, and no additional evidence was found.

Carrender was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, over 2 grams) and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities said additional charges are possible.
