VIRGINIA — Police are investigating a shooting that left a 39-year-old woman dead and a man seriously injured Tuesday night in Martinsville.
According to the Martinsville Police Department, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 500 block of Forest Street. Authorities identified the victim as Crystal Galloway Jordan of Martinsville. She was taken to SOVAH Martinsville Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
During the investigation, a 20-year-old man from Danville arrived at the hospital with serious injuries. Police believe his injuries are connected to the shooting.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, and Martinsville Sheriff’s Office are assisting in the investigation. Officers continue to process the scene and interview witnesses.
