INDIANA — Indiana State Police arrested a Wabash man Thursday evening after a vehicle and foot pursuit in Wabash County.

Around 8:30 p.m., a trooper patrolling near County Road 200 East and County Road 1000 South in LaFontaine spotted 45-year-old David R. Odham, who had active warrants in Cass and Wabash counties, driving a 1996 Ford Ranger.

When the trooper attempted a traffic stop, Odham refused to pull over, leading officers on a chase northbound on County Road 100 East.

Police said Odham ran multiple stop signs before driving into a field near County Road 600 East and State Road 124. A trooper used a precision immobilization technique to stop the truck. Odham then fled on foot but was caught shortly afterward.

A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected marijuana. Odham was booked into the Wabash County Jail on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, criminal mischief, aggressive driving, possession of marijuana, reckless driving, and the outstanding warrants.
