
SOUTH CAROLINA — A 28-year-old man was killed Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle in Simpsonville, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
The victim, identified as Jorge Arturo Garcia-Morales of Fountain Inn, was found dead at the scene in the 1500 block of Fairview Road. Emergency personnel responded to the crash shortly after 9 p.m.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Garcia-Morales was traveling north when he was hit by a Toyota sedan heading in the same direction.
The coroner’s office has ruled the death accidental. An external examination was scheduled for Thursday.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
