INDIANA — An Iowa man is facing multiple drug charges after deputies discovered a firearm and illegal substances in his vehicle, according to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they encountered 51-year-old Christopher Darnell parked in the 12000 block of East 100 South, near Oakland City Lake.
While speaking with Darnell, deputies noticed a gun laying on the seat of his truck and detected the odor of burnt marijuana.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered methamphetamine and marijuana, officials said.
Darnell was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
