OHIO — A crash involving a semi-truck on the Ohio Turnpike Friday morning is causing significant traffic delays and continued lane closures.

The accident occurred around 8 a.m. in a construction zone on Interstate 80, between mile markers 188 and 192, near state Route 43.

Authorities say the semi-truck crashed and slid onto its side, blocking all eastbound and westbound lanes.

Westbound lanes reopened around 9:30 a.m., but as of late morning, the eastbound lanes remain closed. There is no estimate yet on when they will reopen.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and expect delays in the area throughout the day.
