WISCONSIN — A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 39 late Thursday night resulted in one death and serious injuries to another driver, according to the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the crash just before 11:30 p.m. near the 125-mile marker in the Town of Coloma.
Officials said one driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was airlifted to a hospital with injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed that one of the vehicles was traveling the wrong way on the interstate, but authorities did not specify which driver.
The crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved. No additional details have been provided.
