
OHIO — A head-on crash in Scioto County claimed one life and left three others seriously injured Thursday evening, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred just after 6 p.m. on State Route 73 near milepost 19 in Rush Township.
Troopers said Chandra Darling, 48, of Garrison, Kentucky, was driving eastbound when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck a westbound vehicle head-on.
A passenger in Darling’s vehicle, 71-year-old Tommy Potter, died at the scene. Darling and a juvenile passenger sustained serious injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle, 36-year-old Mary Talbert of McDermott, Ohio, also suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
