
OHIO — An 18-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday evening in what authorities are calling a “calculated, targeted murder,” according to Cleveland Heights Police Chief Joseph Mays.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire just after 8:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of Verona Road.
Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later died.
Witnesses told police that a red or maroon Nissan Murano pulled up near the victim. A male suspect exited the vehicle, opened fire, and then fled the scene in the SUV.
Police are still searching for the suspect and vehicle.
