OHIO — A manhunt for a suspect in a July 8 shooting has now extended beyond Northeast Ohio, according to Springfield Township police.
Authorities say Stanley “Chance” Smith, 40, is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred in the 1400 block of Albrecht Avenue.
Smith has been on the run for eight days.
On Tuesday, police announced that the U.S. Marshals Service has joined the search and is assisting in locating Smith across Ohio and other states.
Smith is described as a white male with a distinctive swastika tattoo. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and checkered shorts.
Police have not released new details about the condition of the shooting victim.
Anyone who sees Stanley “Chance” Smith or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
