INDIANA — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon on the city’s far east side.
Officers responded to a report of a person shot just before 4 p.m. in the 3400 block of Wellington Avenue.
When they arrived, they found an individual with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
IMPD has not yet released the identity of the victim or any suspect information.
The investigation remains ongoing.
