
INDIANA — A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a high-speed crash Friday morning at the Wayne Trace roundabout near New Haven.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the scene at 7:28 a.m. at the intersection of Adams Center Road and Wayne Trace.
According to reports, the driver was traveling southbound on Adams Center Road at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic to pass other vehicles.
The car struck the curb of the roundabout and became airborne, landing on the southeast side where it hit a “road closed” barricade.
The vehicle then went airborne a second time before leaving the roadway, entering a ditch, and coming to rest in a wheat field.
The driver was transported to a hospital and is in life-threatening condition.
The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
