OHIO — Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered beneath a mattress in a Cleveland garage Wednesday afternoon.
Officers from the Cleveland Division of Police’s Second District responded to a call around 2:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of West 48th Street.
The call came from workers with a bulk disposal company who had been hired to clean out the garage on the property.
According to police, the workers found the body while removing debris from the garage and immediately notified authorities.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death and work to identify the individual.
No additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
