OHIO — According to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Microsoft Corporation has announced plans for a $1 billion project across New Albany, Heath, and Hebron in Licking County.
The tech giant’s expansion is expected to generate 20 full-time-equivalent jobs, adding $2 million in new payroll to the area.
The multinational technology company, known for its computer software, electronics, and services, has committed to a fixed-asset investment comprising $700 million in building costs and $300 million for machinery.
In support of the project, the Tax Credit Authority (TCA) has approved a 100%, 15-year sales tax exemption for data center investments.
Microsoft’s project will enhance its presence in the region.
