
INDIANA — One person is dead and two suspects are in custody following a shooting Saturday near South Harrison and Pearl streets, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.
The shooting involved four individuals. One victim later died at a local hospital, while the other three were treated for injuries and released.
The Fort Wayne Homicide Unit, working with the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and Coroner’s Office, launched an investigation that led to multiple search and arrest warrants.
A 16-year-old male was arrested on Webster Street and is facing charges including murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Police also arrested 18-year-old Ni’Shawn Jackson on Oakland Street. He has been charged with attempted murder.
During a related search on Woodhaven Drive, investigators recovered multiple firearms. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
