
KENTUCKY — A Tennessee couple was arrested over the weekend during a drug bust near exit 49 on Interstate 75, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies stopped Jeremy and Angela Nelson and conducted a search of their vehicle.
During the search, authorities say they found suspected fentanyl, marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, including glass pipes and baggies.
Both were booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center and face multiple drug trafficking charges, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
Angela Nelson was also charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license and driving with an ineligible license plate.
Court records show the couple is being held on a $25,000 cash bond each. They are scheduled to appear in court at 11 a.m. on July 15.
