SOUTH CAROLINA — A woman was killed Tuesday in a crash involving a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 77, according to the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office.
The crash occurred near mile marker 46 in Winnsboro.
Authorities say 60-year-old Kathleen E. Hodge of Darlington lost control of her motorcycle and collided with a tractor-trailer. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol, and Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department responded to the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
