INDIANA — Elkhart County authorities are seeking James Tackett, a 5-foot-8, 190-pound white male with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Tackett is wanted as of June 18, 2025, for violating probation by trafficking a controlled substance to an inmate. He is also wanted on burglary charges.
Anyone with information about Tackett’s whereabouts is urged to contact Elkhart County law enforcement or Michiana Crime Stoppers.
Officials warn that Tackett should be considered dangerous and advise the public not to approach him.
