OHIO — One person is dead following a shooting in west Toledo early Sunday morning, according to the Toledo Police Department.
Officers responded to the 5800 block of Dixon Avenue shortly after 5:30 a.m., where they found a victim with at least one gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are withholding the victim’s identity until next of kin can be notified.
As of 8 a.m. Sunday, no suspects had been identified. The entrance to Dixon Avenue at Alexis Road was temporarily blocked off while police conducted their investigation.
