$1 million lottery ticket sold in Ohio

OHIO — A lucky Blanchester resident has won a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years on the Ohio Lottery scratch-off game Casino Nights, totaling $1 million before taxes.

The winner chose the annuity option, which will provide annual payments of $40,000.

After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 28 percent, the winner will receive $28,800 each year for the next 25 years.

The winning ticket was sold at Xenia Ave Market, located at 659 Xenia Avenue in Wilmington.

Casino Nights is a $10 scratch-off game that features a top prize of $40,000 annually for 25 years. As of June 20, two top prizes remain.
