17 people charged following drug bust in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — A year-long multi-agency operation targeting illegal drug sales in Carroll County has led to 17 indictments and 15 arrests, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

On Monday, May 5, a Carroll County Grand Jury handed down indictments charging 17 individuals with various drug-related offenses.

In addition, six others were charged under state arrest warrants during the investigation.

The TBI said law enforcement agencies canvassed Carroll County and surrounding areas in a coordinated effort to locate and apprehend the suspects.

As of now, 15 individuals are in custody. Their names and charges are as follows:

  • Promise Marie Hicks, Atwood – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; bond: $50,000.
  • Regina Jeanette Omahony, Atwood – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; bond: $100,000.
  • Robert Dale Hunter, Hollow Rock – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; bond: $50,000.
  • Stacy Renee Parker, Huntingdon – Two counts of simple possession (marijuana) and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; bond: $3,500.
  • Tanner Joseph Vetter, McKenzie – Simple possession (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia; bond: $6,000.
  • Tara Neal, Hollow Rock – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; bond: $75,000.
  • Tosha Marie Simmons, McKenzie – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; bond: $50,000.
  • Cornelius Montes Orgain, McKenzie – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia; bond: $50,000.
  • Jacob Saulters, Walnut – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; bond: $50,000.
  • James Horton, McKenzie – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; no bond listed.
  • Joseph Dominique Johnson, Huntingdon – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; bond: $50,000.
  • Michael Antonio Gilbert, Waverly – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; no bond listed.
  • Michael Leon Hones II, Hollow Rock – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; no bond listed.
  • Priest Weathers, Huntingdon – Sale and delivery of methamphetamine; bond: $50,000.
  • William Cody Schenk, Huntingdon – Two counts of simple possession (marijuana) and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; bond: $3,500.

The extensive operation involved assistance from numerous agencies, including the Huntingdon, McKenzie, Bruceton, and Hollow Rock Police Departments, Carroll and Henderson County Sheriff’s Departments, the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
