
ALABAMA — A Birmingham man was arrested late Tuesday night after leading Priceville Police on a short pursuit along Interstate 65 South.
According to police, the incident began just before 11 p.m. when an officer attempted a traffic stop.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Leneil Reshawn Brown, failed to stop and continued driving for about a mile, throwing multiple items from the vehicle during the pursuit.
Brown eventually pulled over and was taken into custody.
Officers conducted a field investigation and discovered psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Brown was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana – 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Criminal Littering.
He was booked into the Morgan County Jail and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
