INDIANA — A woman wanted in Marion County for auto theft was arrested Thursday and now faces several additional charges after police discovered firearms and drugs in her home.
According to a post by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers and SWAT executed a search warrant at a residence in the 9000 block of Pendleton Pike, near the intersection of Pendleton Pike and North Post Road in the Lawrence area.
During the search, 39-year-old Andrea Burnett was taken into custody.
Investigators found four handguns, seven grams of methamphetamine, ten grams of marijuana, and $650 in cash inside the home.
Authorities said Burnett had two active warrants in Marion County—one for auto theft and another for possession of narcotics. She was booked into the Marion County Jail and is being held without bond.
In addition to her warrants, Burnett now faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and unlawful carrying of a handgun. She appeared in court Tuesday, and her jury trial is scheduled for July 21.
