INDIANA — A woman from Indianapolis lost her life in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on State Road 56, according to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say 55-year-old Sherry Pruitt was driving southbound toward Rising Sun around 4:30 a.m. when her vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene and pronounced Pruitt dead.
No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing to determine what caused the vehicle to veer off the road.
