FLORIDA — Florida is set to gain four new Buc-ee’s travel centers as the Texas-based convenience store chain continues a major expansion across the United States.

The company announced plans for new locations in 16 states, with Florida among the states receiving multiple stores. Two Florida locations are expected to open next year in Fort Pierce and Tallahassee.

Additional Florida travel centers are planned for Port Charlotte and Ocala, with the Ocala location currently targeted for a 2029 opening. According to Buc-ee’s, construction of a new travel center typically takes between 18 and 24 months once work begins.

Buc-ee’s has become well known for its large travel centers, clean restrooms and wide selection of snacks, food and travel items.

Florida is one of several states included in the company’s latest expansion plans. Other states receiving new Buc-ee’s locations include Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin.

The company’s newest travel center opened earlier this month in Goodyear, Arizona. During the opening, Buc-ee’s CEO Arch “Beaver” Aplin III suggested the company could continue expanding with additional locations in Arizona in the future.
