TENNESSEE — A 56-year-old woman died after an all-terrain vehicle crashed into a utility pole in Jefferson County, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said Heather Wheeler was driving the ATV downhill with 24-year-old Marissa Bisuano riding as a passenger when Wheeler lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole. Investigators said neither woman was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Wheeler was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
Bisuano was taken to the same hospital for treatment and was later released.
