Part of I-75 in Michigan shut down following deadly vehicle crash

MICHIGAN — One person was killed in an early morning wrong-way crash on Interstate 75 near downtown Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. on the southbound lanes of I-75 near Grand River Avenue and involved at least two vehicles. Authorities said the collision was caused by a wrong-way driver.

The identity of the person who died has not been released, and no additional information about injuries or the circumstances leading up to the crash was immediately available.
