OHIO — A Columbus man accused of repeatedly forcing his way into an apartment, making threats, and stealing a vehicle has been arrested, according to police.

Court documents state that officers responded to a residence on North Roys Avenue near West Broad Street on Feb. 9, where 38-year-old Cortez Moore allegedly broke into an apartment and threatened to kill a woman inside with her daughter.

After Moore left, the victims noticed that car keys were missing. Later that day, their vehicle was stolen.

On March 3, Moore reportedly confronted the victims again at a Family Dollar store about a mile away. Witnesses identified him by name.

Six days later, police said he broke into the same apartment again, claiming the woman’s son owed him money. The daughter took a photo of Moore during the incident.

The victims later identified Moore in a police photo lineup, leading to his arrest on Wednesday. He has been charged with aggravated burglary.

A Franklin County Municipal Court judge set his bond at $500,000 on Thursday. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 21.
