OHIO — Six people were taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash Thursday night at an intersection in Harrison Township, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 9:26 p.m. to the intersection of North Dixie Drive and Needmore Road.

Investigators said a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling southbound on North Dixie Drive when it struck a Chevrolet Malibu that was stopped at a traffic light. The Tahoe then continued southbound, colliding with a Toyota Avalon traveling westbound before also striking a Hyundai Venue that was traveling eastbound.

Emergency crews transported the 53-year-old driver of the Tahoe to the hospital with minor injuries.

The 38-year-old driver of the Malibu also suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital along with two passengers. A 10-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries, while a 6-year-old passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The driver of the Toyota Avalon was not injured, authorities said. The 52-year-old driver of the Hyundai Venue and a 51-year-old passenger were both transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash has not been determined. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
