NORTH CAROLINA — One person was injured in an overnight shooting in Greensboro, according to the Greensboro Police Department.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Elwell Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police have not released the victim’s identity and have not said what led to the shooting.
No suspect information has been released.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said additional information may be released as it becomes available.
