OHIO — A man is dead after being struck by a vehicle on the city’s south side Wednesday evening, and a teenager has been arrested in connection with the incident.
According to police, officers responded to the 1300 block of Marion Road around 4:50 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive man.
He was transported to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:18 p.m.
Investigators determined that a 17-year-old driver was recklessly traveling along Marion Road when he veered off the roadway and struck the pedestrian on the sidewalk.
The teen remained at the scene and was later arrested after showing signs of being under the influence.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, and the investigation remains ongoing.
