Wanted murder suspect arrested by U.S. Marshals in Virginia

VIRGINIA — A Richmond man wanted in connection with a homicide at a Lynchburg apartment complex has been arrested, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

Police said 20-year-old Ke John McGhee was taken into custody Thursday morning, June 11, by the U.S. Marshals Service in Richmond. McGhee is accused in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred May 18 at the Millwood Apartments in the 6000 block of Old Mill Road.

McGhee has been charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a murder.

The arrest stems from an ongoing investigation into the homicide, which prompted police to seek the public’s help in locating McGhee following the incident.
