SOUTH CAROLINA — The Kershaw County Coroner’s Office is investigating after a deceased man was found behind a business in Camden on Thursday.
According to officials, the body of an unidentified Black man was discovered at an encampment site in the woods behind the TitleMax business on West DeKalb Street.
Investigators believe the man was between 30 and 35 years old.
The coroner’s office is working to identify the man and determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
An autopsy has been scheduled for next week and is expected to help investigators determine the cause and manner of death, as well as assist with identification.
Authorities have not released additional details.
The investigation remains ongoing.
