One person arrested following drug bust in Virginia

VIRGINIA — A Toano man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities recovered firearms, ammunition and narcotics following a domestic incident in James City County on Tuesday.

According to the James City County Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 7700 block of Croaker Road at approximately 9:40 a.m. after a caller reported receiving a video showing a man holding his girlfriend at gunpoint and threatening her.

When officers arrived, they located the victim, who had sustained minor injuries. The suspect had already fled the scene.

Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant, which led to the recovery of a firearm, ammunition and narcotics.

Police later identified the man in the video as 23-year-old Tyler Kwan Wallace of Toano. Wallace was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. in the 7500 block of Richmond Road.

Wallace has been charged with breaking and entering with a deadly weapon, brandishing a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, domestic assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and drug possession.

He is currently being held without bond at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
