KENTUCKY — At least one person is dead following a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the Fern Creek area of Louisville, according to authorities.
The shooting was reported around 3:15 p.m. in the 5600 block of Oxford Court, Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said. The location is within an apartment complex near Bardstown Road and Fern Creek Park.
Police said two people were reportedly shot during the incident. MetroSafe confirmed to local media that at least one person died as a result of the shooting.
Officials have not released information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, the condition of the second victim, or whether any suspects have been identified.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details were not immediately available Tuesday afternoon.
