GEORGIA — The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 62-year-old woman who authorities say has hearing problems and may be suffering from undiagnosed dementia.

According to the sheriff’s office, Jeanie Lawson, 62, was last seen at approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, on the 3800 block of Mike Padgett Highway.

Authorities said Lawson was sitting on the front porch of her residence and was reportedly intoxicated when she was last seen. She is described as being 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

Investigators said Lawson was last seen wearing dark-colored shorts and a dark-colored tank top.

The sheriff’s office expressed concern for Lawson’s well-being due to reported hearing issues and possible dementia.

Anyone who sees Lawson or has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact Investigator Ron Sylvester or any on-call Violent Crimes Investigator with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1020 during business hours. Information can also be reported through dispatch at 706-821-1080.

The search remains ongoing.
