SOUTH CAROLINA — Skeletal remains were discovered in the Carolina Forest area of Horry County, according to local officials.
The remains were found Wednesday in a wooded area along Postal Way, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said.
Authorities have not identified the person, and no information about the circumstances surrounding the discovery has been released.
Officials said DNA testing will be conducted on the remains and compared with records in missing persons databases in an effort to determine the individual’s identity.
