KENTUCKY — A West Liberty woman died following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 460 in Morgan County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Troopers said the crash occurred around 3 p.m. Friday on U.S. 460 West near the West Liberty Vet Clinic.

A preliminary investigation found that a 2019 Chevrolet Rollback was traveling on U.S. 460 when a vehicle ahead slowed to turn onto Veterinarian Lane. Investigators said the rollback moved into the passing lane to go around the turning vehicle.

At the same time, a red 2024 Chevrolet Equinox was exiting Veterinarian Lane and entered the roadway. Kentucky State Police said the rollback struck the Equinox.

The driver of the Equinox, identified as Linda Bush, 66, of West Liberty, was taken to ARH Hospital in West Liberty before being flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital for further treatment.

Authorities said Bush later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by Morgan County EMS, the West Liberty Fire Department and the Morgan County Rescue Squad.

The crash remains under investigation.
