GEORGIA — A Cobb County man is facing multiple charges after police say he crashed his vehicle, fled from officers and continued driving while huffing a can of electronic duster spray.
According to an arrest warrant, Bradley Carter was involved in a crash in Marietta on May 21 shortly after 11 a.m. Authorities say Carter struck a vehicle in front of him while driving a Ford F-150.
When officers arrived at the scene, they began investigating the crash and instructed Carter to place his vehicle in park, according to the warrant. Instead, police say Carter drove away from the scene.
Investigators allege Carter had fallen asleep behind the wheel after driving under the influence of Spray-X Electronics Duster. The arrest warrant states that when officers told him to roll down his window, Carter complied while huffing the spray before fleeing.
Police say Carter then weaved through traffic in an attempt to evade officers. As he made his way home, authorities allege he drove through neighbors’ lawns while continuing to avoid police.
Carter was later arrested and charged with driving under the influence, fleeing and attempting to elude police, following too closely, obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers and reckless driving.
The case remains under investigation.
