KENTUCKY — A 17-year-old girl died after a head-on crash Friday morning in Adair County, according to Kentucky State Police.
The crash happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. on KY 206 near Columbia.
Kentucky State Police said the teenager was driving westbound when her vehicle crossed the centerline and entered the eastbound lane, where it collided head-on with a truck.
The girl was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Her identity has not been released.
The driver of the truck was not injured, police said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
