ALABAMA — A 59-year-old Plantersville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning in Dallas County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Authorities said Leonard E. Parten Jr., 59, was driving a 1992 Ford F-150 pickup when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at approximately 9:10 a.m. June 5.
The crash happened on Alabama Highway 219 near the seven-mile marker, about three miles north of Selma.
Parten was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said its Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the fatal crash.
