GEORGIA — Two men were killed in an early-morning crash involving a side-by-side utility vehicle and a semi truck in Macon County, according to Macon County Coroner Eddie Hosley.

Hosley said the crash occurred around 12:50 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Gene Wilburn Road and Camp Creek Road.

The victims were identified as Chase Turner, 27, and Joshua Hutchens, 28.

According to the coroner, Turner and Hutchens were involved in a collision between a side-by-side and a semi truck. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the victims’ families have been notified.

The Georgia State Patrol, the Macon County Coroner’s Office and the Georgia Motor Carrier Compliance Division are investigating the crash.
