FLORIDA — A Walmart store in Palm Bay was evacuated Friday morning after a bomb threat was reported, according to local authorities.
The store, located on Malabar Road, was cleared while law enforcement officers investigated the threat. The Palm Bay Police Department said the threat was called into the department’s communications dispatch center.
Police closed the immediate area around the store and urged the public to avoid the location while the investigation remains underway.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad responded to assist with the investigation.
Authorities have not released additional details about the nature of the threat or whether any suspicious items were located. No injuries have been reported.
The investigation remains active. Officials have asked residents and motorists to stay clear of the area until law enforcement completes its response.
