
MINNESOTA — The Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force seized large quantities of illegal drugs, a firearm and nearly $45,000 in cash during the execution of a search warrant tied to a Twin Ports drug trafficking investigation.
According to authorities, a 31-year-old man was under investigation for drug sales in the Twin Ports area. Investigators identified two locations they said were being used to distribute narcotics.
During the execution of search warrants at the two properties, as well as on the suspect and his vehicle, officers recovered approximately 1,996 grams of methamphetamine, 1.05 kilograms of cocaine, 3 grams of fentanyl, a loaded pistol and $44,883 in cash. Authorities also seized additional evidence related to drug sales.
The suspect was booked into the St. Louis County Jail and is facing pending charges of first-degree sale of methamphetamine, first-degree sale of cocaine and possession of a firearm by a felon.
The investigation was conducted by the Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force. Additional details about the case have not been released.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
