
SOUTH CAROLINA — A Duncan man was killed and three passengers were injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Greenville County, according to authorities.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Michael Jaylen Coleman, 28, of Duncan.
The crash happened around 9:25 p.m. at the intersection of East Main Street and Wade Hampton Boulevard in Greer, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Coleman was driving a 2013 Chrysler 300 and was turning left from Valley Road onto East Main Street when the vehicle struck a curb, traveled off the left side of the roadway and hit a ditch before colliding with a tree. The vehicle then overturned.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced Coleman dead.
Three passengers in the vehicle were transported by EMS for treatment of injuries.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office ruled Coleman’s death an accident caused by blunt force injuries. An external examination is scheduled for Wednesday.
The crash remains under investigation by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
