OHIO — A 62-year-old woman was killed and an 82-year-old man was seriously injured in a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon in Darke County, according to authorities.
First responders were called around 12:30 p.m. to the 2600 block of State Route 571 for a reported head-on collision.
An initial investigation found that a Ram pickup truck was traveling southeast on State Route 571 when it crossed left of center and struck a Toyota Prius head-on.
The driver of the Prius, identified as Lorretta Biggs of Troy, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup truck driver, Larry Addis, 82, of Greenville, was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Authorities have not released additional information about his condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
