TEXAS — Two women were killed Tuesday afternoon in a crash involving an 18-wheeler and a sedan in North Richland Hills, according to police.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on eastbound Loop 820 near Holiday Lane.
Police said the two women were traveling in a sedan involved in the collision with the 18-wheeler. North Richland Hills Fire crews were called to the scene to extricate the victims from the vehicle.
Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the identities of the victims. Police said their names will be released by the medical examiner after next of kin have been notified.
The investigation remains ongoing, but police said no charges are expected to be filed.
Eastbound lanes of Loop 820 remain closed from Iron Horse Boulevard as accident reconstruction investigators and crime scene personnel continue their work at the scene.
