
KENTUCKY — Thousands of Kentucky residents remain without electricity Monday morning as utility crews continue working to restore service across the state.
According to PowerOutage.us, 4,870 customers are currently without power statewide. The outages affect approximately 0.2% of the more than 2.47 million customers tracked across Kentucky.
Marshall County is reporting the highest number of outages, with 2,286 customers currently without electricity. Meade County follows with 1,508 outages. Additional outages are reported in Jefferson County with 202 customers affected, McCracken County with 174 and Calloway County with 138.
West Kentucky RECC is reporting the largest number of outages among utility providers, with 2,424 customers without service. Meade County RECC has 1,509 customers affected, while Kentucky Utilities reports 455 outages statewide.
Marshall County is currently the hardest-hit county by percentage, with nearly 13% of customers without power. West Kentucky RECC is reporting the highest percentage of customers affected among major utilities, with nearly 6% of its customers experiencing outages.
PowerOutage.us reports Kentucky currently has the fourth-highest number of power outages in the nation and ranks fifth nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Restoration efforts are ongoing, and outage numbers may continue to change throughout the day as crews work to restore service.
